Limerick lap harp.

21st Febuary 2010

Well I have got started, I purchased a sheet of GL1 birch plywood and cut out my back and soundboard, the next stage will be to veneer the back with Cherry veneer to match the rest of the harp.

1st March 2010

The next stage was to rough cut the sides, pillar and bow of the harp from solid cherry, it even looks a bit like a harp!

10th March 2010

The sides have now been grooved for the soundboard and back,soundboard prepared and holes cut in the back.

The next stage will be to get to work on the pyrography and burn the decoration into the soundboard, it has been roughley drawn in preperation.
